The Stuart Christmas Parade will have floats, marching bands, dance teams and more.

The annual Stuart Florida Christmas Parade is organized by Soroptimist International Stuart.

The Parade starts at Stuart Middle School and goes down East Ocean Boulevard to Monterey Road.

The deadline for parade entries is October 29, 2009.

The Theme for the Christmas Parade this year is “Christmas Under the Sea”. There will be five awards given in the following categories:

• Soroptimist Choice Award - Favorite Float
• Christmas Under the Sea Award - best rendition for a float 30 to 40 feet
• Luminations / Musical Award - best light or music for a float 30 to 40 feet
• Christmas Under the Sea Aware - floats under 30 feet
• Luminations /Musical Award - floats under 30 feet

The Parade will have a wide variety of floats and marching bands, cars and motorcycles, horses, dogs and other animals.
