L.O.S.T.

The Lake Okeechobee Scenic Runs takes place along the Scenic Trail that runs around the big lake and is a Martin County Parks and Recreation event.

The Race starts at the Port Mayaca Recreation area - where highway 76 (Kanner Highway) dead ends into Lake Okeechobee and the Port Mayaca Locks.

Runners in different classes will head north along the lake for 3.5 miles and then turn around and end up back at the starting point. There are 2 water stations that you will pass on your out and then again on the way back.

The race is also known as the “Run for the Corn” because local farmer Wayne Boyton has for many years provided fresh corn for runners after race.

There are different classes based on age and for men and women.
