The Stuart Sailfish Club Light Tackle Tournament is the second leg of the Treasure Coast Championship.
The Stuart Sailfish Club Light Tackle Tournament is a week long event with world class fishing, excellent parties, and an all around great time.
The fishing tournament is limited to Only 40 boats and 120 anglers.
Entry Fee
The Entry Fee for the Stuart Sailfish Light Tackle Tournament is $1,500 per boat before November 24th, $1,750 after November 24th.
Boat Requirements for the Stuart Sailfish Club Light Tackle Tournament
To participate in the Tournament boats must be 31 ft and have facilities and an enclosure to protect observers - no open boats.
Each boat in the tournament must supply a qualified observer and observer will be assigned to each boat by the tournament committee.
This is a 4 day fishing tournament and each boat may fish on any of the 3 days of their choosing.
Tournament Rules
This is a summary of the Stuart Sailfish Tournament rules. Note that IGFA rules apply.
- Each boat will be assigned an observer
- No more than 4 lines per boat
- No spinning reels are allowed
- Any fish hooked before 3:30 pm (and reported to the committee) may be fought until caught
- Any fish hooked after 3:30 pm is NOT eligible
- Catches must be reported to the Committee Boat as released.
- Momoi Diamond Line 20LB test (Hi-Vis) is the only line permitted
- Only zero degree offset CIRCLE hooks may be used
- Any natural dead boat or artificial lure may be used - LIVE BAIT is prohibited
