It's time to dance in the streets of downtown Stuart with live music.

Dancing in the Streets is an annual event in Downtown Stuart. The 2007 event starts at 6:00pm and goes until midnight on Saturday August 25.

There will be four different stages each featuring different types of music and bands.

Here are a few of the performances schedule:

6:00-7:00pm - A Solid Gold Tribute to the dance music of the 50’s & 60’s
8:00-9:30pm - A Solid Gold Tribute to the dance music of the 70’s
10:00-10:45pm - A Solid Gold Tribute to the dance music of the 80’s & 90’s
10:45-11:00pm - Brazilian Samba dancers and drumming

Rock
6:00-9:00pm Classic Rock ~ COOLHAND
COOL HAND IS a group of local business professionals who play an impressive range of
rock, alternative, and even some country music from the 1960s to today. If you need an
hour of James Taylor, John Denver and Jimmy Buffet, our lead singer Randy Crain can
entertain the dinner crowd before we blow the roof off the joint for the bar crowd!

9:30-midnight Classic Rock ~ Local favorite SWS
Around since the early 90’s SWS is a fun loving, party oriented rock ‘n roll band that will
be sure to entertain everyone on the street often playing material that no other rock
bands play.

Country Music
6:00-7:30 Traditional Country ~ The Hot Sauce Boys
Acoustic artists Charlie Hankin and Lee Carpenter will entertain the crowds with
an eclectic mix of American music including bluegrass, blues, country and jazz.

8:00-midnight Contemporary Country ~ Thunder Road
Thunder Road is a high energy contemporary country group with musical influences that
range from the Eagles, to the Beetles, to Toby Keith and even Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Latin Music
6:30-6:45 Welcome and Introductions with ‘DJ Sombra’ and Latin Pop Music ~ Janelita
7:00-7:15 Salsa Singer ~ El Cano

7:30-8:00 Latin Dance Contest

8:00-8:30 Salsa Singer ~ Javier Rosado
Javier Rosado is an up and coming salsa singer with enough energy and talent to
electrify the audience. This is hot salsa music at its best and will make everyone want to
dance all night.

10:45-11:45 Meringue ~ Tony Swing & his Merengue Orchestra
Heading straight towards merengue stardom Tony Swing and his Orchestra deliver red
hot meringue with a contemporary flair. This is modern merengue at its best with suave
